The client required a strong focus on inspiring the youth towards space exploration, along with increasing the reach of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre through community building. The target audience was not limited to the UAE, but included the entire Arab world, the US, UK, Canada and Australia. The content had to be shared in both English and Arabic (posts, videos, GIFs, images), and all social media campaigns had to be planned and executed accordingly.
An interactive social media plan was developed that made information-sharing interesting and kept the audience updated with happenings in the space world. The content focused on inspiring the youth, and sharing the journey and hard work of the Emirati engineers laying the foundations of the space industry in the UAE and the Arab world. It included highlights of space news and shared the technical aspects of space projects, satellites and spacecraft.
7G increased brand credibility and reach for the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre by building a huge yet interactive social community, where people with an interest in space science share, discuss and enquire about space projects and discoveries.
Social media campaigns with unique ideas brought about a significant increase in the size of MBRSC’s social community. A single campaign for the ‘Entaliq Scholarship Programme’ resulted in more than 500 registrations in just two days.
Influencer marketing has been used in many of the campaigns to reach out to influential personalities from all walks of life.
